The short version
No advertising, no data brokers, no cookie banner to click away. Here is exactly what happens when you visit.
Two things. If you send a message through the contact form we keep your name, email and what you wrote, because otherwise we cannot reply. Separately, we count page views and song plays so we know which songs people are actually listening to.
No advertising cookies, no tracking pixels, no third party analytics scripts. We do not build a profile of you, we do not follow you around other websites, and we have nothing to sell to anybody.
A random identifier is kept in your browser for the length of your visit so that reading three pages is not counted as three separate people. It disappears when you close the tab and it is not tied to you in any way.
Messages and counts live in a Supabase database. Photographs, audio and video are served from Cloudinary. Both providers hold the data on our behalf and neither is permitted to use it for anything else.
Messages stay until there is no reason to keep them, usually about a year after the conversation ends. Aggregated view counts are kept indefinitely because they contain nothing personal.
Write to hello@dardbharidastaan.com and say what you would like deleted. We will do it and confirm once it is done. There is no form and nothing to justify.

The letter
No weekly round up and nothing to scroll past. When something is finished it goes out once, with the story behind it, and that is the whole arrangement.
